At FKK, we hear this question fairly often. This really isn't astonishing. There are naturists spread out around the U.S., and not everyone has a unclothed beach or naturist resort or club nearby. Even if they do, some can't manage to join their local naturist club or do not have the transport to get there.

So, how else does one meet other local nudist people or unclothed-friendly groups?

We have some ideas to share for joining with fellow nudists both online and off line.

Assembly Nudists Offline

If you haven't already, see if there are any alternative places nearby for a nudie to visit besides a club or resort.

Examples of alternative nudie environments:

- Swimming holes or places in nature that have a tradition of skinny dipping, including ponds, rivers and lakes in national parks or woods. The website swimmingholes.org has a complete list of swimming holes all over the country (though we do not know how often it gets updated). It has both textile and nude places, so try to find the ones expressly noted to have a skinny dipping custom. Bear in mind that the folks who frequent these places do not always call themselves naturists. Since these places are usually free and open to the public, they attract all kinds of folks. But if other people are there skinny dipping, you definitely have a common interest!

- If you're into yoga, then check out your local naked yoga courses. Many times naked yoga educators will host courses in a neighborhood studio and never at a nearby naturist club. These classes can form a community when the identical folks return week after week.

- Naked health spas. These types of areas are probably the least conducive to meeting people. They are generally gender-segregated and lots of people are only there to relax and unwind to not make friends. But if the vibe is right, it can still be a spot to meet likeminded individuals.

How exactly to meet naturists & make nudie pals

- Local naked-friendly events, such as the World Naked Bike Ride, naked runs / parades like in San Francisco, local Burning Man events, etc. These are not naturist events, but they do pull nudies and folks who are open to naturist tasks. If you look beyond the nudist label, you'd be surprised just how a lot of people have an interest in naked parties / events / actions.

How you can meet naturist folks there: I know it can be intimidating to approach strangers, despite the fact that you're both nude and enjoying the same actions. It seems to be especially challenging for single men, who are, unfortunately, most commonly imagine before they even say a word.

So if you are unsure or not too keen on chatting up strangers, the first thing I'd say is to, if possible, bring a friend. Being with a buddy can make the experience more relaxing and enjoyable. It may give you more confidence and even supply you with more legality when it comes to how others see you. (Hate to say it, but if you are a man, a woman will probably be more open to talking to you if you are accompanied by a female friend.)

Should youn't have a friend to accompany you to a nudie spot, (because duh, that is why you are going there to begin with), attempt looking for an excuse to start a dialog with mountainside, the African sun feels sharp. One needs to be in pretty good condition can request someone to shoot your picture (without getting others in the backdrop of course), or see if they are a routine there and ask them a few questions about the area. If dialogue is strained or they certainly desire to be left alone, it's better to politely end the conversation and move on.

Meeting Local Naturist Folks and Naturist Groups Online:

You can even attempt meeting locals through nudist social networks and forums. Most of these sites are rudimentary and poorly designed. However, they may be however free and used by naturists all around the globe.

Some nudist on-line social networks / newsgroups to attempt:

Truenudists.com You will, undeniably, have to weed through and block a group of creeps who are there for the wrong motives. But if you've got the patience, there are great folks on there.

The Naktiv Nook - www.naktiv.net This is one of the newer social networks for nudists, but it appears to do well, as they say they've now reached 4,000 members. This network has a peculiar policy against mundane selfies, but it is otherwise one to explore.

Zerokini - www.zerokini.com - This network was designed in France. I've never used it, but don't have any reason to consider it's not valid.

NudistClubhouse.com - same sort as truenudists.com.

Naturist Corner - www.naturist-corner.net (forum)

Naturist Websites to prevent: nudist dating scam sites.

Other on-line networks and groups where it is possible to meet local naturists through:

Despite Facebook's draconian censorship policies against nudity, you can find many nudist groups on there. We now have a primary FKK group of over 6,000 people (and growing fast!) from all around These several questions are as outdated while the philosophical . Members are welcome to post introductions of themselves in the group and get local new naturist friends by asking who else is in their region.

We also have secret local groups for individuals in the Tri State area (NY, NJ, PA) and for upstate New York, together with a secret group only for women. Contact us if you'd like to join one of the secret groups.

Create your own group for naturists:

Last but not least, you can meet others by creating your own group online and offline. FKK is no longer opening new phases, but we do help, support and encourage other valid young naturist groups and new groups in general.

Meetup.com is a good website to begin with. It costs $12 / month for group organizers, though you could recoup this cost by charging a group membership or charging for some Meetups. (It is otherwise free to use for non-organizers.) It may be recommended to have a free, clothed meet-up at a neighborhood cafe as a preliminary meeting. This would create a less intimidating environment for potential newbies and would additionally assist you to screen individuals for naked occasions.

You can also create a Facebook group and boost it in other naturist / naturist Facebook groups.

FB has different privacy options for groups:

-With closed groups, your group description and members are observable, but posts are hidden from non-members. The edges of a closed group are that individuals can locate it in Facebook hunts and you'll be able to share it by linking to it. The disadvantage is that you'll need certainly to work harder to screen arbitrary individuals who ask to join.

-With secret groups, your whole group is invisible to everyone except its members. It can not be located in hunts, and it doesn't show up on anyone's profile / timeline. This is favored by those who do not want their FB buddies to understand they are in the group. But you can not share a secret group by linking to it. The only way you're able to add new people to it's by becoming Facebook friends with them first.

You always have the option to begin with a closed group so as to encourage it and later on shift it to secret. Or you can create a public page for the group and make your point of contact.

Craigslist.org is also another site for meeting folks, whether you are posting to meet like-minded friends, or for encouraging your new group. It has its bad eggs like any website, but it's totally possible to meet the right people, also.

So that is our guide! What did we leave out, readers? What's your expertise in striving to meet likeminded locals outside of clubs / resorts?
